STR Driver Training has been providing very successful practical driving courses and gift experiences for the last four years. The business (which is a member of the Chamber of Commerce and East of England Energy Group (EEEGR) was developed by Shawn and Theresa Taylor who aim to improve driver training skills, supported by their team of Approved Driving Instructors, Police Trained Instructors as well as the Association of Racing Drivers School Instructors and track instructors at the pinnacle of motorsport.
The company, which is based in Norwich, Norfolk, offers practical driver training courses for both the general public and companies. The general public courses (which are available to purchase as gift vouchers) include a:
- Car control / Skid pan course
- Tarmac Rally course
- Drifting course
Whilst the company courses include an intensive Full Day Skid Pan / Car Control Course. The company also offers unique corporate days which not only provide a thrill factor, but also provide advanced driver training.
As a result of recently revised legislation (UK Corporate Manslaughter and Corporate Homicide Act) employers (and now more directly, managers and directors of a company) have a Duty of Care to ensure the safety of employees driving for work purposes. The revised legislation makes it easier to prosecute large and medium sized organisations for manslaughter following a work related death.
All the company's courses therefore support employer's in their aim to ensure the safety of employees driving for work purposes and contribute towards making existing health and safety policies / procedures more robust.
