"Our staff recently attended Health and Safety training with a real difference.  Four of the sites employees who regularly drive during working hours attended an afternoon winter driving familiarisation session.  The session included winter driving techniques including how to avoid understeer and oversteer with a qualified instructor and then practice sessions.  As an added extra the training is recorded in car and a DVD is available as a reminder of the day.  The training was arranged to improve the health and safety awareness of the site's regular drivers as winter approaches when quite often most focus is on site based issues.  Driving for work is a significant risk to a business continuity not to mention the human cost of accidents."
