Long gone are the days of driving a basic vehicle, with no technology whatsoever. For the technophobes amongst us, you could of course buy a classic car or painfully (or excitedly) accept that the future of driving will be more technically challenging as more and more vehicles have and are being fitted with camera-based driver assist systems as a minimum. These systems include cameras and radars which assist with a wide range of safety features for vehicles such as autonomous emergency braking, lane departure warning, lane keep assist, night vision cameras and adaptive lighting. Sounds great, so what’s the problem?
Well … with all these gizmos and gadgetry it means that any adjustment, modifications or replacement of parts to a vehicle in relation to its geometric axle (wheel alignment, suspension, steering, geometry checks, tyre replacement, windscreen replacement) will need the radars and cameras re-calibrated on a specialist calibration tool. This is a complex process and is extremely expensive, however at STR Service Centre we can carry out the work in a more cost effective and time efficient way.
We cover trade and retail customers, so, get your vehicle booked in with us at STR Service Centre, Norwich.
